Alysoun began brewing with a store-bought oatmeal stout kit in 2014. Since then she has graduated to all-grain brewing for beers and braggots. She spends most of her time on meads, working from both historical recipes and her own concoctions, making several batches a year. She enjoys sharing and sampling the fruits of her labor with friends and fellow brewers. Alysoun became Guildmistress of the BMDL Brewers Guild in 2018.

Alysoun's other SCA activities include garb-making, embroidery, calligraphy, illumination, and singing with (and sometimes conducting) the Debatable Choir. Originally from the East, she has been a resident of Ęthelmearc since 2009, happily living in the Debatable Lands with her husband and two cats.
